Who are Penny's Rainbows?

It's really just me...

I'm Caroline and back in Christmas 2022 I had a large bucket of air dried clay, and no idea what to do with it, so I made Christmas decorations to go with my other craft items at my 1st Christmas market, and they sold really well!

Fast forward to today (and this is all I do), I make all sorts of animal, seasonal and object shaped clay decorations for children and adults to paint and decorate at home, plus a range of kits, greetings cards and paint to go with them.

I make each one of my clay decorations by my own hands, in my Derbyshire studio, from stamping them out of the clay, to sanding them down, its all done by me.

I also attend local Brownies, Rainbows and Charity events, where I supply my decorations and paint etc, so children and adults have a fun activity, I really enjoy this part of the business and often join in!

I attend many craft fairs throughout the year, but mainly around Christmas and am stocked in a few shops, click here to see events attending and shops stocked in.

Designer and creator

I'm Caroline

I had my own graphic design business for over 25 years, and then I fell out of love with the corporate world.

It took a few years to wind it down and doing all sorts of creative things, before I landed on clay decorations and like most good things it was purely by accident.

Inspiration and named after

Penny

We adopted Penny in 2020 from German Shepherd Rescue Elite, and is one of the main reasons I started Penny's Rainbows, so I can spend all my time with her, making and being creative!

...And of course this is who Penny's Rainbows is named after!

Designing and

Making

Most of these decorations are my own design. I draw them on my computer then print them, like a cookie cutter on my 3D printer.

As for the rest, I collect cookie cutters from any and everywhere; charity shops, Vinted and some are donated to me.
